What do the product page layouts look like?
The Mosaic theme includes three different layouts for the product page. Here are examples of the three layouts from our demo stores:
Layout 1: Product images are displayed in containers that have an aspect ratio of 3:2 (i.e. images that are wider than tall, aka “landscape-oriented images”), with alternating rows of one image (that takes up the full width of the page) or 2 images (with two images each taking up half the screen width).
Layout 2: Images images are displayed in containers that have an aspect ratio of 3:2. All images appear on rows of two.
Layout 3: The first four images are displayed in containers that have an aspect ratio of 3:4 (i.e. images that are taller than wide, aka “portrait-oriented images”). Images after this are displayed in a 3:2 container on rows of two.
Layouts 1 and 2 are better for displaying landscape oriented photos. We recommend using images sized to a 3:2 ratio. Layout 3 is ideal for portrait product photography. If you upload landscape-oriented photos, the theme will just center the photo.
For all images, the actual image dimensions depend on how much you want to be able to zoom into the photo. If you want users to be able to zoom in a lot, upload a larger photo.
